savage beauty.

A snippet of my last trip to London.
I went mainly to see the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty exhibition at the V&A. Sometimes beauty can be so overwhelming and moving. I am someone who would rather appreciate a concrete cube than a rose garden, but McQueen's opulence is impossible to resist. More so when the beauty he created is not naive, but empowering. I think the curators of the exhibition did an amazing job in translating McQueen's point of view and making sure that he is remembered for his outstanding body of work and not just for his 'infant terrible' image.
Tickets are quite hard to get at this point, but definitely try to go if you can!

See the whole article at Refinery29 - inc. my real name (gasp) and more street style from the exhibition!

  1. omg love your beauty looks and so jealous of anyone who's been to see the McQueen exhibition! but apparently someone got told to stop sketching while inside which kind of sux (but is frankly unsurprising when they are trying to push the sale of the book published for the exhibit)

    1. Thank you x
Well, it was explicitly said from the beginning that no sketching or photography are allowed, whatever reason the V&A had. Maybe it was just a decision based on how busy the exhibition was.
